BEEHIVE REMOVAL
Removing bees from walls, ceilings, trees, compost bins, possum boxes or anywhere that you don't want them.
We remove the bees alive, safely without pesticides and give them a new home somewhere away from your home.
WHY LIVE BEE REMOVAL?
Bees are incredibly important to the world we live in. They pollinate much of the food we eat and play a vital role in healthy ecosystems.
Removing bees alive allows them to continue doing this important work. It is also the most hygienic option for your home.
WHY NOT POISON THEM?
When an established hive is poisoned and left in a wall cavity, you can end up with up to 50,000 dead bees rotting inside your wall. Imagine the smell! On top of that, the honey will begin to melt and run through the cavity, and the remaining hive structure will attract ants, cockroaches, wax moths and rodents.
Live removal solves these problems while giving the bees a new home where they get looked after and can keep doing what they do best.

HOW DOES BEE REMOVAL WORK?
Every bee removal is a little different, but the process usually follows these steps.
1. Locating the hive
I begin by scanning the wall/ceiling with a thermal camera, or inserting a scope camera to identify the size and exact location of the hive inside the cavity.
2. Accessing and removing the hive
I then neatly cut open the wall/ceiling and expose the hive. All of the comb, honey and brood are carefully cut out piece by piece.
3. Collecting the bees
The bees are gently collected using a specially designed bee vacuum. This uses very low suction and sucks the bees through a smooth tube directly into a beehive box.
4. Cleaning and prevention
Once the hive is removed, I scrape and wash the inside of the wall and seal the bees’ entrance to prevent future colonies from moving into the same space.
5. Closing the wall
If the plasterboard can be removed in one piece, I will screw it back into place. However, I am not a plasterer or painter, so any finishing work such as plastering or painting would need to be arranged separately.
6. A new home for the bees
The bees are taken away and set up in a managed hive where they can settle into their new home and continue working their magic.
