HIVE MAINTENANCE AND HEALTH CHECKS
Regular hive inspections help keep your bees healthy and productive. During a service we assess the strength of the colony, brood pattern, food stores, and overall hive condition.
We also check that the queen is laying well, the hive has enough space, and that the equipment is good working order. Regular maintenance helps identify issues early and keeps colonies strong throughout the season.
PEST AND DISEASE MANAGEMENT
Healthy hives require regular monitoring for pests and disease. We inspect for common pests such as small hive beetle, varroa mite, wax moth, and signs of brood disease.
Where treatment is needed, we focus on responsible management practices including organic varroa mite treatment, pest monitoring, and maintaining strong colonies.

REQUEENING
A strong queen is essential for a healthy hive. Over time queens can slow down or become less productive, which can affect the strength and temperament of the hive.
Requeening replaces the old queen with a young, productive queen, helping improve brood production, colony strength, and hive stability.
HONEY HARVESTING AND HIVE MANAGEMENT
Got more honey than you know what to do with? Instead of buying an extractor you’ll only use once or twice a year, and dealing with the sticky mess, we can harvest and spin it for you. Your honey is returned either in bulk or in convenient jars ready to enjoy or give away as gifts.
We can also help with hive relocations, splitting colonies, and general seasonal hive management.
